Chef Resty's Roast Beef Experience

I have been seeing Chef Resty's at SM Marikina for quite sometime and I am always tempted to give it a try. Today, I finally gave in.

We decided to try the basics. They have this Combo Meal #1 worth 150php, which includes a Roast Beef and a siding,  and Combo Meal #2 170php, which includes roast beef and 2 sidings of your choice. Sidings can be rice, mashed potato, marble potatoes, corn & carrots, ciabatta bread, tortilla chips with cheese, spaghetti with olive oil, basil & garlic.

Combo Meal #1 (Php150)

Combo Meal #2 (Php170)

And yes, you are right, I chose rice (Oh how can I live without it!) on the side and the husband got the same plus corn and carrots.

The taste? Love it. I love any beef dish and I think you can't really rely on my review when it concerns any beef dish. I confess, I am biased. But the husband loving it? It must be good. He is not a fan of such but he surprisingly enjoyed it.

The serving is just okay. Just enough for a moderate appetite. It's worth the price, anyway.

Are we going back? Definitely. There's a lot more to try on their menu!

Ever had a taste of Chef Resty's roast beef?

Free Starbucks Drink

Ever been lucky to have a "long receipt" on one of your Starbucks visits?

I have been... twice.

Getting a "long receipt" means you are one of the random few who get to answer some questions about your recent store visit and you get a tall drink for free in return. You will need to log on MyStarbucksVisit.ph and answer a few questions there regarding how the staff were. So yes, having a long receipt makes the staff extra friendly to you. Haha!

The other day, right after the scary thunderstorm in the metro, the husband and I decided to grab some hot drinks to keep us warm. And because I have this free drink, we only paid for the husband's cup. Cool!

Hope to get another lucky receipt on my next visit.

Thanks, Starbucks!

A Sweet Treat from Krispy Kreme

Last week, me and hubby signed up for Krispy Kreme's Sweetest Friend promo on FB. We registered, shared the good news to 5 friends and waited for our sweetest gift vouchers.

Last Wednesday, Dec.19, hubby and I claimed our free treats from Krispy Kreme Greenhills.

They just took a photo of us with the voucher and the treats and poof! We enjoyed our free donuts and coffee!

Thank you, Krispy Kreme!

Gayuma Ni Maria: Be Charmed.

Whenever online, I always search for some good places to dine. I've been into forums, food blogs and this is one of the good finds I had. Gayuma ni Maria.

Finally, last VDay, we had the chance to experience the gayuma.

We arrived early. Our reservation was 8pm-10pm. We were there at 6:45pm. We're not excited, huh? But good thing we arrived early 'cause we got a good parking slot. They have a few parking slots and the unfortunate ones would just have to leave their cars on the road sides within the area. The owner said this happens every Valentines day, plus the fact that they have to turn down a lot of walk in customers because all slots are reserved.

Our time finally came. We were guided upstairs, in a room with five tables in Japanese style. Yes, we just had pillows to sit on. I think they don't usually use this room on regular days (I never read in the blogs I've encountered that they have a dining room like this). Couples were there. We were five couples in there. That awkward moment when you share a well-lighted room with no division whatsoever with four other pairs. We were facing another couple across our table.

It was actually a house turned restaurant. The mood lighting is just right to give it a spell-bounding feel.

Finally, we were given the menu. Don't have the usual menu they offer on regular days so I never really got to taste the ones I've read in blogs and reviews. One reason I thought of coming back. :)

Gayuma Ni Maria Valentine Set Meals

We ordered Crush Kita. Took around 20 minutes of waiting before our food were finally served.

Grilled Honey-Soy Chicken on a bed of Homemade Choco Pasta with Creamy wild Mushroom Sauce.
It was good! The chicken, the choco pasta, the sauce. The taste and tenderness of the chicken is just right. The choco pasta -- Delicious! It's one good meal.

Beats Sex Anyday

Dessert served was BSA. Not really fantastic for us, though. It was just ok.

Before leaving, they let me choose over their small stuffed toys for my freebie.

Cute!

Over all, it was a nice dining experience. But I still can't say that I have fully experienced the "gayuma". I wanted to try their regular offers so I am sure to come back as soon as our schedule permits. :)
